They don't open the files at all. They say they do, but don't.
Interesting... we actually just switched out the underlying model a couple weeks ago (right around the time of your other comment) and I wonder if it's having some unexpected effects. Will take a look and see if I can figure out what might be going on for you! Thanks for letting me know!!
I managed to get it working, but it took a lot of very unusual and un-immersive workarounds.
I can't seem to get them to open the files, even when they say they did.

@drusepth Would it be possible to add other ways to hack Bob Dale? Bob is a tough nut to crack. I've hacked everyone except for him.
Glad you're enjoying the game! We've got some fun plans to add alternative ways to proceed (phishing, hacking, and cracking) and a few QOL updates like renaming files which might make things easier, but they're not quite ready yet. Will definitely get back to working on this demo soon and have more to share! :)
I can't wait! I've been really liking the game and I can't seem to get past bob..! Otherwise I love re-doing it all over again!
I'm not sure If this'll be helpful, but you can pretend to need help figuring out how the file works or where the file goes. It worked for me.
I'm defiantly gonna have to try this out, and it worked for bop right? I kept trying to tell him that it was just a file glitch but he kept saying he wouldn't open it
Seems pretty interesting to toy with, but it seems there's no way to rename files, and they've stated they refuse to run the virus with that filename, so I don't know how to really proceed

Newest version now lets you rename files! Just right-click on any file and click "Rename". :)
good game but i had a few problems. whenever i was typing and i clicked of to look at one their interest it would auto send it.
Ah, good bug catch! I'm working on a few more features now and hope to have a new build in a couple days; I'll make sure that bug gets fixed up, too. Thanks for helping playtest! :)
